SUICIDAL POLITICS

Media reports that the present union Home Minister Mr Chidambram who has been the Finance Minister earlier, and after Mr.Mukerjee‘s vacating the position just now is again likely to hold FINANCE PORTFOLIO, some days ago expressed “WHEN THE URBAN MIDDLE CLASS CAN BUY A MINERAL WATER FOR Rs.15/- and ICE CREAM FOR Rs.20/-, why do they make such noise about PRICE RISE”? A spokes person from the other biggest political party in the country. i.e. BJP immediately spoke out finding faults in what Mr.Chidambram has said just a day before. What PC has said is almost factual position on date. What PC said should have gone DEEP with all the political outfits in the country compelling them to introspect about CONDITIONS PREVAILING IN THIS COUNTRY. But on the other hand efforts have been made to throw words at the face of the person expressing so. A VERY BAD CULTURE OF OUR POLITICAL SYSTEM. Mr.Chidambram has been holding FINANCE PORTFOLIO at the centre for a reasonably long period and is REPORTED to be good at ECONOMICS. It is always expected from such a person to have known as to why the conditions that exist now have come into being, WHERE WATER, SUPPOSED TO BE FREE GIFT OF NATURE SHOULD COST SO HIGH FOR ANY PERSON IRRESPECTIVE OF HIS POSITION IN THE SOCIETY. That prices of most other items too have gone over the heads should be clear to all including the position holders. Others in politics too are supposed to be knowing similarly. Let some points be mentioned here by an old man and a normal citizen of this country.


1] There has been EXPLOSIVE INCREASE IN THE POPULATION OF THIS COUNTRY. RESULT is that all type of natural resources including WATER have been over exploited, as a result of which even if we take the case of water, not more than 4/5 decades from now water was too easily available and its contamination too was minimal. But presently, when pure water is not so readily available, who-so-ever is able to afford to spend will be forced to buy it. Controlling THIRST MANY A TIMES becomes impossible so is the reason that water bottle costing what so ever it does, one has to go for it. This again is in the regimes of the Governments of these very political parties that 5th and 6th pay commission reports were implemented which have given lot of money in the hands of Employees at all levels which has also resulted in increased prices of most items, and are sure to pinch those who have not been benefited similarly. Need is that instead of saying the things and then finding faults with in the politicians them selves, best for the nation and the present generation and future ones is to APPLY MIND TO THE PROBLEMS IN HAND AND on the other side of the tunnel.

For the conditions as these exist now, the entire POLITICAL CLASS, mainly the two biggest players in the field should take the blames for having ignored the conditions as existing at a particular time, nor did they give thoughts to our future needs. These parties have mostly remained busy in finding faults with what so ever is said and done by the other outfit. Result is that this once GREAT NATION is moving down wards in most upward expected parameters. (OF COURSE INCREASE IN POPULATION IS AN EXCEPTION). The more bigger mistakes or say the SUICIDAL ACTS being committed by these two big political parties is that they have totally ignored the HISTORICAL past events that happened in this very country, where due to fights/hatred and jealousy amongst our ruling class helped the invaders, that too very small in numbers and away from beyond the borders to defeat these rulers one by one, later not sparing even those who did the ACTS OF TREACHERY to help those invaders. The same attitude is being adopted by these two big political outfits who on account of their MYOPIC VISION/selfishness /jealousy and greed for power are ceding ground to the Regional and much smaller players in politics. Most these regional parties and even other very negligible outfits are working as PROPRIETORSHIP CONCERNS, generally concerned with themselves and their families. This being single motto to be and remain in power by what so ever the means they are able to invent including SQUANDERING PUBLIC MONEY/dividing the society on all parameters both horizontally and vertically. What so ever the development figures worked by the system may say the facts remain that this nation is moving NEGATIVELY on all things supposed to be good. In stead of the CENTRE being more powerful having commanding authority is getting weaker day by day and the states instead are dictating terms. This position is not only in respect of centre state relations, rather exists in the political system as well where the smaller and state level out fits are making the biggest parties to kneel down to except even very unreasonable demands of these regional and smaller out fits. Honestly, all these conditions are due to the actions and thinking of the two big political parties at the national levels I mean BJP and INC. There goes a story when on a certain day and time TWO CATS WERE FIGHTING among themselves for the loaf of bread, each wishing to have the whole of it. This prompted an on looker monkey to jump in the fray, offering to make equal divide of the bread between the warring cats. Once bread came in his hands he finished the whole of it himself, leaving these cats with nothing at all. Hope this story should have been known to most in the two big political parties. If at all this story is not able to alert the two big political outfits, then most must have known the facts of history of our own country where a few invaders from outside our borders could conquer us /rule over us for centuries together and continued to harass/humiliate and loot us. All because we as a nation kept busy in fighting amongst our selves. In case of the mentioned story of MONKEY DIVIDE, the fight was between the two small cats and the arbitrator was a big monkey. In the present case the fight is between the big sized, robust and well built monkeys meaning, the BJP and INC and the role of arbitrator is being played by the small clever cats, I mean the small and regional outfits, who by befooling the powerful ones are eating away the whole bread i.e. VOTE BANK leaving the powerful monkeys looking deprived and helpless. Such a bad state of the things has come into being due to unwanted hatred and fights between the two big players in politics, who having lost the qualities of STATESMANSHIP and are always hunting for votes, at what so ever the cost. Naturally others will take benefit of such weaknesses. The results are for all to see.

That the two big political parties are loosing ground which is systematically being captured by the Smaller/Regional outfits is really not a matter of concern for the general citizen. The concern is that this way the country is getting divided /loosing strength still further and many walls being created in between. This unhealthy trend needs be checked at the earliest so that this nation is saved of further DIVIDES /BIFURCATION and broken into peaces, surely harmful to all citizens (Present and future). IN WHICH SO EVER PART OF THIS LAND ONE lives. As for the subject matter of purchase of water/ice-cream this is only a small matter, otherwise this country is full of problems including rising prices. So request is made here to the two big parties i.e. BJP and INC to please come out of suicidal tendencies/actions, rather join heads to eradicate all the problems as exist in the country. If this is done votes shall automatically come to them. In the mean time request is also made to THE MEDIA/CONCERNE CITIZENS and all others to join for the purpose to make this only TWO PARTY system democracy. These few lines are also directed to the thinkers/concerned citizens/Civil Society members so that this nation progresses with a real speed.
