Mr.Chetan Bhagat is a good writer taking up many issues concerning the Society and nation and has also authored some books which readers go through with interest and with the purpose to add knowledge to their existing stock. On 18/11/12 a write up by him in TOI with the caption “THE AGNI PRIKSHA MOMENT FOR SANGH PARIVAR”. At the out set Bhagat reports that he declined an offer for MOTIVATIONAL TALK TO GROUP OF YOUNG INDIANS on serving the country as part of SWAMI VIVEKANAND’S 150th birthday celebrations, fearing his image getting tarnished by the social media simply because the address was to the RSS gathering. This he did knowing fully well that the inviting person was a dedicated worker who had spent most of his life serving social cause. Also he writes that he knew many RSS workers who had done good things for the society. He further writes that he knows fully well that the media in general has NO MERCY NOR ARE NEUTRAL for the workers of this organization. Then he claims that these organizations have REGRESSIVE/COMMUNAL/DIVISIVE THOUGHTS and lack MODERNITY AND SCIETIFIC thoughts and keep thoughts of the past in heir minds and also that they give both the Country and Religion a bad name. Then the writer admits that RSS has done good work too in relief during Natural calamities and other social work. He also makes note that RSS adopted Muslim kids orphaned by militancy in Kashmir. He then writes that RSS backs BJP and contributes in making a credible opposition to the ruling party. He then writes that RSS’s good work is rarely recognized because of negative deeds in the past as well as nature of organization. He also writes that its current leaders are unwilling to be ROLE MODELS to the INDIAN YOUTH. Bhagat again notes that RSS has never been known as corrupt/greedy for money or as BLACK MONEY HEAVEN. In his views RSS’s backing Gadhkari taints the organization. He further writes that the organization is already tainted with being COMMUNAL. He writes that RSS may be politically aligned, but can not sell their soul or conscience like other political parties CLAIMING POLITICAL COMPULSIONS. He writes “Past mistakes haunt them still. It will take decades of secular work for them to rub off their communal sins.” Then to add a taint of corruption and greed will be too much for the SANGH ., and that if it breaks the BJP breaks ,we do not have a credible opposition in the country. Thus on handling of the Gadhkari situation almost hinges the future of modern India” How Gadhkri case is finally settled ,is in his opinion AGNI PARIKSHA FOR SANGH PARIVAR.

In this respect I am of the opinion that such like situations may arise in most of our political parties. To remedy this one in advance, it may be good that for political system as a whole some guiding principals are devised where in provisions can be made that for the top post needing just one incumbent, at least two more in line are selected so that in such exigencies the incumbent can be asked/him self decides to keep away from the position held for some specified period . Then some authority can be put up to take up such cases to be decided with in a period of say 1-2 months to clear the issue and in case nothing prima facie is found against the charged person, then he may resume his duties with full command. For Gadhkari, asking him to quit just now may be due to some constraints with in the party, which need be cleared without loss of much time. But surely immediate decision making may help to save the party of getting bad name.

Mr. Chetan Bhagha as we know is a positive/satwik thinker and a good writer as well. So without disputing his views some thoughts on the issues raised by him are detailed here after.

His admission that despite knowing that the inviter person WAS a dedicated social worker also the organization he belongs to have many positive traits and actions to their credit, he did not accept this invite to EXPRESS ON THE GREAT THINKER/AWAIKNER of this nation i.e. VIVEKANANDA, simply out of fear of being labeled as associated with this organization which by his own admission is reasonably engaged in positive deeds. I fear his decision has been prompted by the ATMOSPHERE OF HATRED AND MALIGN REGULARLY BEING CREATED AGAINST SANGH PARIVAR. I, as a person have been attending RSS SHAKHAS and their other periodical programmes before the times this organization was BANNED for some time after ASSASSINATION of GANDHI JI. I could find their stress was mostly on body fitness and nation building. They would also tell of nice stories about our great warriors and social/spiritual persons who would fight against TYRANY/INJUSTICE done in this country / as well as the EDUCATION passed on by our shastras and characters depicted there in. On no occasion they would speak a word of hatred against any particular CASTE or COMMUNITY. During partition days in 1947 too they would provide all possible help and protection to the refugees at the cost of inconvenience to them physically as well as materially . Their workers were also seen protecting one and all on this side of the borders and would stand as shields between the targets and the wrong doers. Hate campaign against this organization seems with malicious intentions and just now for political gains by appeasing a particular community for VOTE BANK gains. Such mud slinging on a service type of organization should rather attract condemnations from the positive thinkers. But alas! reverse of the doable positiveness is being done. About thoughts and actions of SANGH PARIVAR it should be in the knowledge of the general public that they are running many NGOs engaged in social activities including some schools as well .He says that this organization is REGRESSIVE/COMMUNAL AND WITH DIVISIVE THOUGHTS. This is generally not observed in their talks and actions. BJP the political party said to be an arm of RSS, still observes democracy in their functioning where at least for the top positions including in the states ,elections are held and/ or periodically changes are made. In the case of other parties, most are run as proprietorship and family concern where neither elections are held nor changes at the top are effected periodically. Change of position if ever takes place is by handing over the proprietorship to the next most near in the family. Even in the case of the oldest political out fit i.e. INC the present head is holding the position for more that 10 years and efforts are being made to hand over the position to the son of the top position holder. Then most political parties openly prop up and encourage on the basis of CASTE/COMMUNITY etc and all their thinking and actions are directed for VOTE BANK gains, WHAT SO EVER may be loss to the nation and the resultant divide in the society. It is true that BJP which was expected to be totally committed to cause of the nation too seems to have lost track and also some times indulges in vote catching gimmicks. During the last some time we do not find any positive actions proposed or legislations suggested by them. This party also seems not taking part in open discussions on the issues concerning the Nation. Just opposing the actions what so ever are proposed or done by the Governments are not in interest either of the party or the country. We observe that the State Govts run by this party still function much better and in general work In the interest of public. But on political field they seem to be not performing well and are reported engaged in infighting and leg pulling. This party if it wishes to serve this nation more positively, they must formulate policies which create cohesion /discipline with in the ranks. True that RSS and BJP are generally dominated by the HINDUS. They sing in praise of Bharat and their most pet slogans are ‘VANDHEMAATRAM OR BHARAT MATA KI JAI’. They also have photo graphs of Bharat Mata which at all functions and gatherings they worship. Some individuals or communities due to their beliefs or inherent tendencies do not wish to be associated with these organizations, then blame to be communal should honestly go to those who shun these organizations. We fear that this is the main reason that these RSS and BJP have been labeled as COMMUNAL,by those who always talk and act keeping in view particular castes/communities for showering favours and those to be deprived of. This seems not correct and IS INJUSTICE TO RSS PARIVAR.. This too seems some times true that when others wish to harm Hindus in particular, they wish to come forward to protect. If they follow the policy of ‘offence is the best defense, then too as a human being as well as a nation, this policy need be followed. Had we followed these policies, CHINA or PAKISTAN would never have been on our heads. In respect of modernity and scientific thoughts, it is always good to move with the times. In this country mostly we have gone negative specially in matters of Culture, as a result many problems of Consumerism/education getting limited to literacy only. These issues including obnoxious increase in population and other such matters /issues should have been taken up by these organizations, which in general they are found not doing. The founders of these organizations were persons of ZEAL HAVING CLEAR CUT THOUGHTS. Those coming there after may do well to follow their lines and thoughts and be more proactive so that these organizations are able to prove a better asset to the Nation, might be their compulsions are that they have now to deal with the society who has got polluted and so have to bend down to their standerds.These organizations we observe do not respond to the allegations of being communal and with other charges which they need to fight out with similar force, other wise they will be getting further blames thrown at them. As for as remembering the past It is always good to learn from the past ,so as to act accordingly. In our case we have been ruled /humiliated/tortured /looted in the past. The faults were ours as well ,as intruders came in due to acts of treachery by our own people, and then highhandedness was done by the invaders. Their tendencies need never be overlooked. So this need not be treated as sin.Vivekanands birth day celebrations and also of others has become a ritual in general ,and learning from their lives and actions are generally ZERO. AWAKINING IN THE MATTER IN NEEDED.

In the end about Bhaghat’s fear about association with sangh parivar, since he is a writer ,some thoughts expressed this way are quoted, “KALAM KE SIPAHI AGAR SO GAYE TO WATAN KE SIPAHI WATAN BAICH DEN GE.” Here these protectors of the nation have already done a lot of harm. So writers/thinkers/media /concerned citizens of this country always need to be on alert like the night-watchmen who continue giving call asking all to be awake and alert against wrong doers.

Finally this is not a moment of AGNIPARIKSH FOR SANGH PARIVAR only ,rather is time for all in this country specially- the media/poets/writers/opinion makers/social activists to act to DEMOLISH THE WALLS of divide and hatred created on the basis of CASTE/COMMUNITIES/REGION/SEX and what not to make this country a STRONG/HEALTHY/WELL KNIT Nation by making SIMILAR LAWS FOR ALL COUNTRY MEN without any distinctions/same common language( which can be HINDI & ENGLISH) for all official work from states to the centre, also REMIDY THE HELLISH CONDITIONS that have been created with unchecked increase in POPULATION/COMSUMARISM /CORRUPTION and such other NEGATIVITIES. In case we can have just TWO PARTY DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM ,MANY PROBLEM MAY GET ERADICATED THEM SELVES.
