This has reference to Shobha De’s write up under the caption “Human Rhinos are calling the shots in India” appearing in TOI dated 12/5/13. In this article the writer expresses dismay over actions of our KARANDHARS , in general as most have become THICK SKINNED like the forest animal RHINOS .This too is unfortunate that this class of people have increased a lot in numbers. Politics which earlier was meant for the committed ones, behaving and acting as STATESMEN and who would be doing in interest of the Society and the Nation has now become polluted and has become means of livelihood and business like. Business all the times is not to be slammed as some thing un-virtuous till it is not done just for purely selfish gains and by indulging in un-ethical and corrupt actions. But this present political class and position holders as each one can see with naked eyes and feel if the body has not become dead to touch senses, that most have become self centered and unconcerned with needs of the nation. The observations made by ms. De are based on present day actions in Law-making bodies ,workings in offices/in factories and all around which has resulted in creation of HELLISH conditions through out. This way these Karandhars remain unconcerned with the troubles as well as needs of the Nation and public continues to suffer. The number of CRIMINALS /the looters/extremely corrupt as well as deeply selfish in our LAW MAKING bodies/the Administration / even the army have increased many folds. The present day Justice delivery system also cannot be given CLEAN chit as for as the mentioned Negatives are concerned at least to the extent that all type of legal cases are delayed and pendencies are in crores of cases combined in all the courts. This only indicates lack of concern by the judiciary about those facing/approaching for justice. During the lost some times many, holding Ministerial positions at the states as well as at Centre have been found indulged in various mentioned types of CRIMES . Such negatives even when indicted by the competent investigating authorities , had no regret and continued to hold positions till they were FORCED BY the public pressure to vacate or even till they were pushed out. This all indicates as to how much thick skinned such ones have become. Those holding elected positions or even as employees are basically mandated to work for the Nation and welfare of the citizens, but most are found wanting in their duties and commitments .This is despite the fact that due to alertness of media and even public cry knowing that ,the things may come to glare of one and all ,but thick skinned as they are, they remain oblivious to this as well. In respect of the four legged animal RHINOS ,its body being covered with very thick skin, smaller pinches and pushes don’t make it to react, unless attacked with a force. so with our systems and POSITION HOLDERS. There may be many Domestic/Wild four legged ones equally proof to all shames, including those not able to SEE/HEAR OR say in the name of Evils in order to act. Here Gandgi ji’s three proverbial monkeys come to mind who were mandated as such only. The purpose then might have been to not to indulge in FAULT FINDING AS A HOBBY. The times have changed ,and need is for all to SEE WITH EYES VIDE OPEN/TO HEAR without putting oil and then cotton in the ears and speak to the heart without fear or favour, what so ever is needed in the given circumstances. Bad luck is that those who matter in the system still follow the dictum of “NOT TO”. This one seems to be the reason that conditions in this country have gone/ and are going from bad to worse, all due to tendencies of those who matter in this system. About CBI the Nation’s premier investigating agency too, instead of its doing HONEST INTERROGATION has been found taking dictation from the persons being enquired against. The big question now is WHERE IS THE HOPE.

In the light of what Shobha De has mentioned in her article and these few lines meant just as reminder, request here is made to one and all to unite so that we the HUMANS are Governed only by the Humans with human tendencies and characters and all those with tendencies of the four legged ones are SENT to their proper places i.e. THE JUNGLES.
